The American Revolution was a fight for independence that spanned over many years. The American colonists gradually grew unhappy with the British government and the way they chose to rule the colonists. At first, colonists were completely loyal towards the British and experienced only minor problems with Parliament. After the French and Indian War, however, the British government had a large war debt to pay off. They decided to tax the colonists by establishing acts. These acts angered the American colonists because they argued that the British Parliament had no right to tax them since they had no representation in Parliament. But the British didn’t listen to the colonists’ protests, which just made them become more infuriated. Here you can find everything about the American Revolution; who, what, when, where, why, how, and more!
